Lucy Baile

The natural world, and being an authentic, creative part of that world, is very important to me. My work has shown me how roaming freely outside and expressing ourselves is important for our wholeness and happiness as human beings.

I founded ‘Fern’ as a forest school in August 2012. I’d been working outside with children since 2006. Now, as ‘Fern Nature Therapies’, I guide children and adults into nature and art. I continue to lead forest school groups as well as  ‘Nature As Therapy’ for individuals. I hold one to one ‘Art As Therapy’ sessions and run therapeutic art groups for all, ‘on-site’ in my garden studio, and ‘off-site’ in beautiful Cotswold countryside too.

I see myself as an enabler, a guide, a therapist rather than a teacher. ‘Learning begins when teaching stops!’ – African proverb.

Recently I have been investing time in researching the benefits of therapeutic art, nature as therapy and nurture therapy and hope to release my findings and training courses in 2024
