WHAT WE DO
Adventure Walks
We walk a fair distance, these walks always become 'journeys' - child led adventures, discovering nature at a deeper level.
Make a Camp
We always create a 'base' - for shelter, fires, eating, creating, inventing, explaining & for sharing stories & experiences.
Rope Education
Mini abseiling, bridges, climbing, swings & hammocks.
Crafts
Green woodworking, sculpture, clay, weaving, bug-dens, knots & lashings.
Fires & Outdoor Cooking
Fire science, flint & steel, fire build & light. Cooking-jam, pancakes, popcorn, nettle crisps, hazel biscuits, caramelised apples and lunch!
Nature Investigation
Tree/plant/animal identification, excavating, habitats, animal evidence, seasonal observations, weather reports, (astronomy in Winter).
Out of School
Forest School Adventures! TUESDAY Term time
3.15-5.30pm ON HOLD until further notice
Pick up from Winsley School then go OUT into beautiful, local countryside. Substantial tea then build dens, rope swing, have fires, do nature craft, investigate, explore. HAVE FUN!! Pick up from Fern’s base at the end. Tea is cheese & crackers, fruit & veg, sweet treat. All food & materials are included.

Regular dose of fun in small groups of 6 children. Successful challenges grow self-confidence, connecting with nature develops a sense of responsibility & a healthy love of the outdoors..camps, dens, crafts, friends, games, ropes & snack-cheese & crackers, fruit & veg, sweet treat! All Food & materials incl.

Longer sessions allow deeper engagement with children’s outside environment-growing self-confidence and giving a sense of purpose = happy! All usual fun with hot lunch cooked on open fire! Morning snack-cheese & crackers, fruit & veg, sweet treat! Lunch-sausages/bacon, cheese, bread & s’mores. All Food & materials are included

Birthday Parties (All Year Round)
Outside fun-treasure hunts, adventure walks, rope swings, outside cooking, den building, bush-craft skills, scavenging challenges, themed (e.g. fairies / warriors), your ideas. From my base, or I come to you. £110 would be 2 hours, £150 for 3 hours if you come to me, group size depends on age of children.

Morning / Afternoon / All day (All Year Round)
Please contact me to discuss your needs. I can run sessions for 30 children to 1 child, as a one off, or over a school term or year. I can follow your curriculum or a topic…Vikings, Romans, fire of London, science based etc. So much teaching is possible…I have a lot of experience teaching in schools.

One to One (All Year Round)
When a calm, gentle approach is needed, I will guide child, adult or family outside into the proven therapeutic, natural environment. Deeply connecting with nature will heal, sooth & restore. A lot of experience with SEN children/adults. TAC meetings, analysis and reports can be included at an additional cost.
